Just wanted to convey my thanks for great customer service on February 28, 2024 for an after hours request.  Flash freeze and very high winds coming through Ottawa and power outage occurred at residence shortly after 9:00pm.  I tried to start the gas fireplace (FFD had installed the fireplace insert in 2019) and I couldn't get the flame going to warm up part of the house, even with the pilot light on.  Not knowing how long the outage was going to be with cold temps expected, I called FFD for some verbal instruction on checking what might be the issue.  I spoke with Christian and he was very professional and helpful and asked all the relevant questions.  He called back a short time later and asked me to check a switch position on the receiver and voila it worked.  Christian was very helpful in having me remember the receiver switch options (which I assumed had been on the remote choice but it wasn't). I will always remember that for future. I was able to have heat in part of the house and not be cold overnight with the dropping temps from the flash freeze. I’ve used Furnace Factory Direct for a few jobs over the last couple years, and their customer service is second to none. I’ve had them install gas lines for a BBQ at both my previous residence and current residence. And more recently, they installed a new furnace at my rental property. Fast, friendly and quality work. Today my thermostat died on one of the coldest days this winter and a technician Gavin was here in less then an hour to replace it.
